Hello there.
I wanted to check in on Dozer and see how he was doing. I found out December 23rd that my 10 1/2 year old pit bull has the very same cancer on her spleen. For 15 days now I've been watching her have good and bad days. I was told my options were to remover her spleen and possibly gain a few more months with her, but considering her previous experiences with anesthesia, plus all her internal bleeding, they said she's a bad candidate for surgery. I went for a second opinion and they said the same. I was content to let her pass peacefully here at home, however the amount of internal blood loss is making her so bloated and uncomfortable I'm questioning my choice. I DO NOT want to lose her on an operating table, or put her through further stress in her end of days. But I feel I need to do something for her to help her be more comfortable. I was wondering how your pit is holding up and if you found any decent holistic vets in the area. I"m near Philly as well.
